Thread: New BIOS Editor and BIOS Support...

  1. #1

Exclamation New BIOS Editor and BIOS Support...

Well after our first versions of NiBiTor (NVIDIA BIOS Editor) we are planning on releasing a new updated version of our great tool to modify a NVIDIA GeForce BIOS. But before we will do that we want to get as much BIOS's as we can get, mainly to make sure that the support get's added immediatly... Also the more BIOS's we get the more motivated we will be to add some new features...
    NVIDIA GeForce BIOS Backup Guide

    MVKTech Flash Tool
    MVKTech Backup/Flash Tool

    This version has a menu...
    >> 1. Single Backup PCI-E/AGP Card BIOS
    >> 2. Dual Backup PCI-E SLI Cards BIOS
    >> 3. Single Flash PCI-E/AGP Card BIOS
    >> 4. Dual Flash PCI-E SLI Cards BIOS
    >> 5. Exit

    Windows NVIDIA BIOS Backup/Flash Tool
So you launch this program and you press the "Read" button. That will write the BIOS to the same directory where you put this application. When you have doen that you can also use the "Save" button, to save it to another location...

    What we want to receive...
    - GeForce 6 Series BIOS's
    --- 6200/6200TC PCI-E BIOS's (no support due to no BIOS's)
--- 6200 AGP BIOS's (no support due to no BIOS's)
    --- 6600/6600GT PCI-E BIOS's (limited support due to only some GT BIOS's)
--- 6600/6600GT AGP BIOS's (limited support due to only some GT BIOS's)
    --- 6800/6800GT/6800U PCI-E BIOS's (limited support due to only some GT/Ultra BIOS's)
--- 6800/6800GT/6800U AGP BIOS's (decent support but we want to improve, so we need BIOS's)
    - GeForce 5 Series BIOS's
--- 5xxx AGP BIOS' (very good support, but still we want BIOS to perfect the Tool)
--- 5xxx PCI-E BIOS's (some support, but not complete so we need more BIOS's)

We need them from all Brands to make sure all Brands get the same support in the Tool....

You can mail em all to: mavke@mvktech.net or attach your BIOS to this thread...
    And give me details like...
    >> Brand
    >> GPU Type
    >> Amount of Memory
    >> BUS Type (AGP or PCI-E)

And yes we already have a lot of BIOS's on our site, but for those who might think they already got mine, don't! Just send it we discovered already a lot of BIOS that seemed on first sight to be the same... Thanks!

i think he forgot the post the instructions link....
    http://www.mvktech.net/content/view/14/37/

he's looking to make it automated, more like my flashdisks. in the old days we could extract it from windows using something from the X-bios site. (cant remember its name)

I must admit to being incredibly lazy. Supplied with Leadtek cards is Winfox. This allows you to back up the bios from within windows. Download here. You can only use it to flash the same bios (or modified v vios). It doesn't do flashing to another manufacturers bios. Ideal to send a bios to Mavke though! (he already has mine!).

Well on mine it worked... Although I get feedback that for PCI-E cards it is not really working. So we might have to see if we can somehow make our own program.

Sapphire X850 XT PE on it's way here. Once it is setup, I can look around and see how to extract the bios and send it over.

If nothing else to make ATI a bit more present on mvktech, LOL!
    BB_One.... Out !
