3246251196 , welcome to the BE.![]()
You should enjoy those sticks.![]()
There is a thread on them here . G/L
Not anymore. Considering that I'm using 333fsb procs with 400fsb RAM that cannot be forced to run at 400fsb I think this is pretty good.Originally Posted by mysteryman

You need to read the first post in the thread. This is sandra unbuffered not buffered like your showing. If you want buff I can post a 6975MB/s 292Mhz 1:1 shotOriginally Posted by mysteryman

I have a RAM timing question:
my settings on a p4c800e deluxe are 250 5:4 2-3-3-5-4
Is it better to have timings match up? Should it be 2-3-3-8-4 or 2-3-3-8-8?
That's two separate questions...
This is only my second post and I'm pretty new to overclocking...
Thanks!
Hooray! The attachment is back on the first post! It was missing the other day! Well done whoever!

If you have a motherboard that supports Intel Dual Channel Memory, read on:
Background
For background information on the Intel Dual Channel Memory Architecture, please see these documents:
Intel Dual Channel DDR Memory Architecture White Paper
http://www.kingston.com/newtech/MKF_...Whitepaper.pdf
Dual Channel DDR400 memory can balance the performance of the Intel Pentium 4 processor with 800MHz front side bus.
http://www.intel.com/design/chipsets/dual_ddr_sb.pdf
Personal Experience
I bought a PC with a single factory-fitted 256MB DIMM.
I installed a matched pair of PC3200/DDR400 DIMMs - in the correct sockets - and measured the following memory performance improvement:
Pentium 4, 3.2GHz
Single DIMM 2947 MBytes / sec
Dual DIMMs 4664 MBytes / sec
( SiSoft SANDRA benchmark )
The Intel and Kingston documents suggest that this results in a 10-25% improvement in overall system performance.
Hope that this helps

Updated main post with screenie of Sandra 2005 Lite SR3....settings are the same, but the box and listings are slightly different....in case anyone cares.....

Thanks for the post.
Hi guys, Im a newbie. Nice to join this forum.
does anyone have the best (oc) timings for my (OCZ Reaper HPC Edition Dual Channel 4 GB : 2 x 2 GB Memory - DIMM 240-pin - 1066 MHz ( PC2-8500 )?
I have not oced them in so long I forgot or lost the timings I used before.![]()
