I am about to make a new board purchase and it will be a DFI. I liked ASUS until the mess of a product the A8V was. Overclock??? Forget it, they screwed up the PCI/AGP bus locks so sure, you can OC the FSB if you don't mind your hard drive have random 1 and 0s tossed onto it. When I spoke with their tech support they told me to look in the manuel to see if it said anything about PCI/AGP bus locks...no? Oh well, your screwed. Crap support = never buy another ASUS product. It is stable though, at stock speeds.

I have had good experiences with Abit in the past and would consider them again, alas, every review I have seen on the Fatality board says it doesn't overclock worth a darn either.

So I'm RMAing the WD2500JD and getting a new Maxtorand I pray it was only the harddrive and not the controller so I can begin having this fantastic DFI experience
I've read so much about...and paid so much for. I'm not yet convinced that I made a good decision. With fingers crossed Peace, Vektor
Hey Vektor m8, if you are using a WinXp+Sp2 CD then it won't install on raid. You need the older WinXp+Sp1 cd instead.

I'm with the wave of people who said the DFI NF4 Ultra D (Sli is not in my vocabulary yet). Supposedly, it's designed by the same fella that made one of those awsome overclocking aBit K7 boards (NF7/-S? I dunno... somethin like that).

That's the board I will most lijkely opt for when my AGP system halts to a grinding stop...

Would anyone with the ASUS A8N-SLI (not the A8N32) post their OC results? will it run at 260ish htt stable? I'm really thinking about the ASUS just want to know what it will do, esp with the PC4000 gold 2gig kit.

I bought a chaintech vnf4 ultra, but If I were to do it again I'd say f that and get either a dfi lan party ut, an msi sli or an asus nf4 ultra, those are the best out there.
