    WD 300gb Velociraptor.
Replaced my slow-a$$-slow WD 160 drive (OS) with this.
Nice to have a fast OS drive again (gave up the Raptor 36 to the wifes/office/VM machine long ago).

5 minutes to Image the OS drive.
10 minutes to disconnect old drive (and find which of the 3 hdd's was the OS one) and connect new drive and create Primary partition/format it.
    5 minutes to restore image.

    20 total minutes of downtime.

THAT, my friends, is why I love ghost/tbu backup and gdisk.

Oh yeah, is a new Zune considered an upgrade?
Since it is 30gb, and I can actually USE the thing, over my 4gb Ipod, I say HECK YES it is an upgrade.

You know you are an addict when.... you're responding to threads like this at 1.30am!

    1. We admitted we were powerless over computers - that our lives had become unmanageable (unless we used a PDA).
    2. Came to believe that a more powerful CPU could restore us to sanity.
    3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of the Internet as we understood IT.
    4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of our components.
    5. Admitted to msn, to ourselves, and to another server somewhere the exact nature of our componentry.
    6. We're entirely ready to have all these defective parts upgraded.
    7. Humbly asked the Internet to remove our shortcomings.
    8. Made a list of all computers we had harmed, and became willing to make upgrades to them all.
    9. Made direct upgrades to such computers wherever possible, except when to do so would deny us playing BF2 or Doom online.
    10. Continued to take personal inventory of our components and when they were out of date promptly upgraded them.
    11. Sought through phosphor screens and online chat to improve our conscious contact with the Internet, as we understood IT, praying only for faster CPU cycles and a sufficiently powerful PSU to carry that out.
    12. Having had a computational awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to lower specced people, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

Default Upgradaholics Anonymous All are welcome come as you are

Its a well known fact that consoles are sold with loss. They hope to compensate for it by selling games. In a way this is more fair, because you pay less if you use the thing less.
Why do you think printers are so cheap? Because the ink is so expensive

Man, it has been boring around here recently for upgrades.
Since almost every game now works great on 2 year old machines (read: stupid console game ports), not much reason to upgrade.

But, I did get the following:
    Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H50
5 x Straight to Right angle sata 2 cables (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812123158)
LTB Q-BEAN-UB Wireless Headphone (now I have 2, but one power button just broke last week)
SmartDisk FDUSB-B2 USB External Floppy Disk Drive
Belkin SOHO 4-Port KVM Switch (VGA, PS/2-USB)
