Default A new build on a budget

    Hey everyone,
I am thinking about starting a new build from scratch but on a budget, for gaming and media.
It has been quite a while since I have been up to date on whats new and current.

I am looking to spend around $800, which I think should be enough to get a very solid PC for what I will need it for. If any of you guys want to make any suggestions on which are the best bang-for-your-buck parts of today, that will also allow me to upgrade in the future that would be great (office space tone). I would normally do the research myself but I am very busy atm with both school and work, so any assistance would be a big help to me.

Good to be back on the forums, cheers.

I recently-ish put together a system with the following:

    i5 2500k
    Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD5-B3
    Corsair Vengeance DDR3, 8GB, 1600MHz (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9)
    OCZ SSD 64GB Vertex
    Seagate 1TB
    Corsair 750w
    EVGA GTX460

I think the total came in around 800 and likely cheaper now.

I re-used my case, monitor, keyboard, etc...

Eliminate the SSD for lower price but I hear the price of hard drives is starting to climb.

Reuse your OS to save some more but if you need a new OS I also bought win7 ultimate separately for under 200.
