    Did you check out Flock?

In FF 3.6, did you try View>Zoom>Zoom Text Only? I seem to not have problems with it.

At home I think I have adblock pro (or something like that). It gives you a helluva lot of control over what you can see. I would not recommend it for the average user because if you do not know what you are doing you can end up turning everything off on a page (then have to figure out how to reset it again...speaking from experience )

Adblock is just way too basic for me and for some sites.

By example Facebook as the annoying google ads. Adblock would only let me block a specific image but google is smart and has multiple file names for the same pic (so it keeps reappearing). Adblock pro let's me block groups (allows wild card use).

I will have to look for the proper name of that add-on.

    Thanks.

I am really liking Ad Muncher though.
It blocks ads at the network level, so you dont need to install add-ons for browsers at all.
And, it kills ads in yahoo and msn messenger AND email too.
Couldnt ask for more, could you?

I still want to check out that Flock browser though, just havent had time to though.

So it's not just me. Videos that do start eventually freeze on me in full screen view. If I go back to a standard window it starts moving again. It's a pain when at Hulu. I go back to FF v.1.5 when I do videos.

As I said before, all this is just PRETEND upgrade and improvements. There's too much BS when someone says 'upgrade'.

I checked as well...IE8 and FF3.6...all is fine.

As for the square avatar comment, I am not sure what you mean. Your avatar looks fine in both IE and FF.

I would not put the blame solely on vB...granted they did make a number of major changes but it taking time to go through the new layouts to get things back to where they were...remember all those non-standard vB features you saw here and loved were hacks developed specifically for BE after a LOT of time....not much translates over to the new version...so this means a LOT of time needs to go back into recreating the hacks to work with the new version...so this also means that priority has to be set on what gets done first.

Nutcase is doing a great job at doing what he can with the new version...me I am just mucking away with teh little I know about vB (and where to makes changes without screwing the site up).

Plus everyone does have a life outside of the internet that takes time away...jobs to do to pay bills, etc. It would be different if we were millionaires

Thanks for the replies nutcase and Snafu.

Yes it does indeed open in a tab on a right click in FF3.5.5. I just tried it.

But it does not open in a tab on a right click in FF1.5.0.12 which is still my favorite version of FF. A left click is required for that action. Wish the vBulletin people would have checked into better compatibility instead of more "look what I can do mommy!" stuff. Only the drop down menus "community" "forum actions" and "quick links" lack the compatibility. Done by programmers who don't think.

Perhaps some day the current version of FF can grow on me but I haven't yet found the tweaks or extentions to bring back all the good things such as a single line top address bar history (for example). Even so, I wouldn't install it on any of the vintage computers in my vintage computer collection.

The avatar .... Thanks for the fix nutcase! Looking good now. No more trapped fenced in cluttered look.

The non-standard features .... As I said, there are just an amazing number of stupid people in the world who program software. Thank goodness NONE of them are here at BE! A round for nutcase!!!
