Okay I seem to have done away with the space at the top of posts with quotes by turning off compatibility view in IE8. Sorry to have been a bother but IE8 suggested I switch to compatibility view a while ago which I did becuse it cleared up some other issues I had with the site. I guess the latest patch changed some things so that compatibility view is no longer required.

    Thanks JL
I was just about to say I had the same issue.
I've switched off compatibility view (which ie8 suggested I use) & now all is both Hunky & Dory.

    Hey Nutty.
Yeah, it is really small at work.

But, I think it is the new FF 3.6.
It seems to 'forget' my settings a lot.
I use the Ctrl+Scroll Wheel to enlarge the page, and usually it remembers that setting going back and forth to pages, but sometimes it resets and goes to REALLY small font.
And it always happens when I close FF and re-open it.
    Really annoying.
    FF 3.5 didnt do this.

With FF you can use the scroll wheel to either zoom the page or just the font...there is a setting in FF to make the change...can't find it at the moment.

    Doesnt matter.
    FF3.6 sux.
It forgets your settings if you arent actively using it (if you leave to go to lunch, and come back, it reverts to tiny fonts).
Or when you close FF completely, then re-launch it, it uses small fonts.
Sic and tired of having to scroll for bigger text every single time.
And, it doesnt play video's a LOT. I usually have to open another browser (IE) to play video's.
And, a lot of google links wont launch.
And, FF 3.6 seems to be slower than 3.5 was, even though they say its faster.

    I am done with FF.

Currently testing Chrome to see if it is any better. I currently need a GOOD ad blocker for it though. The plugin I have at home (in chrome) doesnt work very well.

If its not better than FF, I will go back to using (sigh) IE.

I haven't experienced those problems (yet).

Someone suggested I try Flock (never heard of it before).

I have noticed for some time now that if you go to a members page and look on the left at their last activity it will only show the time for me.

If i want to see the date I have to switch to the other, vB4 default and then it will show the actual date the member was last on...

It could very well be how I have things set up.....Nothing really special though..I don't really use all the bells and whistles. No chrome or anything..Just IE8...

    What is Flock?

    I have IE dialed in.
It saves settings, like ctrl+scroll settings, between every website, not just the one you are currently setting it for.
I am using Ad Muncher for ad blocking.

I only wish there was a 'Favorites Bar' setting where I could have multiple rows of links (like MultirowBookmarksToolbar add-on in FF).
If anyone knows how to do this, PLEASE let me know.

Other than that, it is speedier than FF.
    It loads faster.
    Plays all video's.
Opens google search links in a new tab (like FF), and LOADS the site (unlike FF)!!!!

    I am happy enough.

    Hahaha.
I went to uninstall some of the add-ons in FF, and thought "I wonder if they have a text re-sizer add-on?"

    Well, turns out they do.
The one I added was NoSquint.
It allows you to resize just the font, which is VERY nice.

Will check it out over the next week, and see what i think.

    BTW:
Ad Muncher makes the browser WAY faster than having the AdBlock add-on.
