Default forum upgrade - January 2010

Over the next Month, Bleedinedge will be going through some huge changes.

First, the forum upgrade will be the first major Revision in over 4 years. this is going to change a lot of how things work.

The forum styles may change slightly to work with the new version. when I get these finished and installed, please let me know what you think of them.

present front Page will be going through a HUGE change. it is being replaced with a CMS very similar to the Old front page we Used to have.

when I do the forum upgrade, The website will probably be down for about 2-3 hours. when this happens, I will give a heads up before I take the site down.

Can you do a darker color like the blue we used to have?

also can you make the font bigger since I am 53 now or is that something i can set on my own page like outlook 2007?

Can we have a narrow version like before????

Will take a little getting use to and some time to tweak it You sure you want comments at this point nutcase???

Lakeside, do you run FF? If so go to View>Zoom and check the "zoom text only" then hold the CTRL key and use the scroll wheel on your mouse until you get a font size that's good for you. If you don't check "zoom text only" then the page zooms.

Play around with it until you get the size that is good for you.

This grey/black/blue/purple works for me, but is a bit harder on my eyes than the old dark style (yeah, grumpy old 40+ year olds, huh?).
Thanks for adding the dates back.

Dunno if it is just Chrome. but only 2 smilies are showing up in the 'new post' view(wink and dizzy). The others show as no-pic-links. (nope, they dont show in FF either, but they display as text (like : cry : ), which is better.

If you keep this color scheme, could make the 'Submit Post' and 'Preview Post' (any buttons, really) stand out a bit more? They kind of blend into the background.

Like Snafu said, still getting used to it.

i will be recreating the old BE dark and BE light themes this week.

The BE dark was mainly a mixture of blue and gray.

the BE light is a mix of Blue and white.

if I get frisky, I may even make a fancy theme also
