Not sure which versions have what but I really like the native DVD playing software and the ability to burn ISO files in the Ultimate version.

I will have to see if my Samsung SCX-4725FN all-in-one laser printer has Win7 drivers, although LakeSide said his almost identical printer doesnt have drivers.

That is the ONLY thing bad about Samsung printers: They never update drivers to new OS'.
I had the same problem with an old ML-1200. Had to find hacked drivers for XP.

    @Glorfy
Just make sure to enable early loading of the Avira AV.
It catches stuff that might not otherwise be caught.
And I also bought a 2 (or was it 3?) year subscription, so I know what you mean about paying for good stuff.

Strange thing Dave is they have the smarthru 4 and scanner driver working..Win 7 loads a universal driver but when i go to print like a 3 sentence email it takes 20 pages of letters and numbers..Ofcourse I stopped it but it would have...

I contacted Samsung and they told me they would have the win 7 print driver soon but maybe i needed to have it serviced

I emailed back and ask for the driver and let them know it worked fine until i changed.

Let me know if you find one that works...I don't use the printer that much but my wife does and I am hearing it!!!!

    Hahaha.
    That is too funny.

I also dont use the print (maybe once every 4-5 months).
My wife uses it a lot.
Luckily, her's is Win XP, and works fine.
My Xp x64 also works fine.
But, I think I am doing the Win7 thing for downloading now, so i will need the drivers for myself every once in a while.
But, so far, I havent had to print anything from my machine, so no biggy.

But, when I DO need to print, they better have a driver for it.

    OK Dave..I got it...

When you go to Samsung and tick driver use this one
    Win
    2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008 1.0.0.0 Universal print Driver size 26.64mb

    Do not use this one
    Universal Print Driver P5 1.0.0.0 size 21.16mb

    The first one works perfect...

Maybe I should tell Samsung so they will know

    Thats weird.

    I see:
    Win Vista/2008/Win 7 3.02 Print Driver Oct 20, 2009 12.93 MULTI LANGUAGE

You dont have that for yours?

All I do is print from my gaming machine, so that is really the only driver I need.

NO, the latest driver the scx-4720fn shows is 4/2009...There were 2 universal drivers and win 7 used the second one automatic...I tryed the xp64 and alot of the other vista ones but win 7 wouldn't even take them...Then i thought i would try the other universal and wala...The only win 7 I even show is under software and that is one for the smarthru 4...That is why the scanner would work....
    Maybe your printer is newer...

I looked at the 4725fn..It has all the drivers..It must be a newer printer...
    Or a more popular model...

Everything I've tried has worked or like with my kodak z7590 camera I got to work by changing to some generic device type. I'm pretty happy with the responsiveness and feel. One complaint I have, though nothing major, is even after disabling Superfetch, Windows Search and System restore it is still always accessing the hard drive. I have a mesh front on this storm scout case so now I can hear the hard drives more than before. It looks like the NTFS Volume log is always writing something and I just seen a Readyboot process show up in the resource monitor so I'll have to look into that one. My concern is more the noise rather than wear or anything and I think its because the fans are so damn quiet

Not sure who to be upset with over this one, I can't select 60Hz for my Samsung 275T 27" monitor. It keeps reverting to 59Hz which some games won't work with and which also lowers desktop picture quality. Also I can't select "no scaling" in the Nvidia control panel, well it lets me but reverts back to "use my displays built in scaling".

These were not issues in Vista.

    Mine shows 59hz also.
Maybe the next OS will have 30hz, so we can all be compatible with consoles.

    Sigh.

I also have a problem with the Dell 30 inch. I cannot use the gpu scaling unless i take the resolution down to 1280 by 1000 or so..Then I can use the gpu scaling and select center timings for running any kind of bench...

This is a pain when benching...

My scores are actually a little worse than vista was...Close but no better as you might expect...

I think it's the Dell 30 inch itself that is the issue or Win 7 doesn't recognize the drivers for the Dell 30 inch.3007WFP I think...

I had this problem with the RC version and was hopeful the new version would have it fixed..You would think that if Vista had it right, win 7 would have what it takes..

The IT guys at work say 7 on a SSD drive is the Shizzzz. Anyone try it?

Also, the 3-user upgrade for $149 seems pretty reasonable:

    Default XP Mode

I loaded that Virtual PC and XP mode...It is really cool how that works..I'm not sure yet but I think I could have loaded the printer drivers I was having problems with in 7 in the XP mode and I think Win 7 recognizes them even if your not in XP mode after you load...

This probably won't do much for me because i was on Vista but people that play old games should benefit from this...If the game was made for XP..I will have to ask Dave.
