I'm not a hardcore photographer but i do take the occasional photo if it is something of interest to me. my camera is a kodak DX3600 it isn't flash and does not have all the bells and whistles but it does the job just fine but would love to have a camera that takes action pics e.g car racing etc without blurring

I took this one this past summer at the River Roar which takes place less than 2 miles from my house.

The boat in the pic was doing about 100mph in the pic. While I was taking the pic, my dad was looking over the shoulder of somebody from the guy's racing support crew who had a radar gun in his hand.

I also have some really good pics I took while at Banff National Park, which I visited twice while I was up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada for 11 days. Unfortunately they're on film (this was 2 1/2 years ago, a full year before I got my digital camera), all the pics are at home, and I don't have a scanner.

I have some pics I took over Christmas break when I was visiting with some friends, and one stop we made was at an indoor auto dealership, with half the showfloor being classic and and a few exotic cars. (They had 3, yes, 3, Dodge Vipers there.)

Those are some interesting pic. What software are you using to make the album on your site. I need to do the same

I posted right before class, and didn't have time to edit the pic beyond resizing it as I'm sure a 2048x1536 pic would have been a little big too post.

I'm not very good at taking pics, a good portion of mine turn out blurry (I really need to get a tripod, my hands are shaky), but I do get a few that turn out decent.

I doubt I will ever have the quality of photos that you guys take. The photos I've seen you guys post are simply amazing.

Here's a couple I took the day after Christmas. A local business (a costume rental place) a block from my house burned down. It was arson by an employee who was afraid of losing his job (it's being torn down to expand the road.) Nobody was hurt and they had the fire out within a couple hours.

And the other pic. This was taken over 1/3 of a block away, without zoom. (Having only digital zoom sucks.) Unfortunately, because of all the smoke and it being dark, most of the pics I took didn't turn out real well.

insaneman37, that's pretty cool that you were able to get the photos....I don't have any "reporter" type stuff...

jcarno, I'd love to be able to photograph horses, they always seem very photogenic...

Here's a photo of Tower Bridge in London...

Thanks Hawk...I couldn't get a photo in the middle cause the traffic was too busy at the time, but I like it from the side, adds a bit of interest I think....

I shot this with my Canon AE-1 using Fuji Neopan SS100. It is in the Napa Valley, CA.

You can't see it here, but the Fuji Neopan has a very unique looking grain. Very different from the Kodak or Ilford. I liked shooting it for a change.
