The story of Klei Entertainment's stylish side-scrolling action game Shank is being written by Marianne Krawczyk--a video game veteran who wrote God of War, God of War II, God of War: Chains of Olypmus and God of War III--the developer announced today.

"Krawczyk is lending her expertise in crafting rich, well-developed characters for Shank's tale of revenge," read the press release, with Krawczyk herself noting that it features "a world where values like integrity and loyalty take on their own twisted meanings."
Klei Entertainment CEO Jamie Cheng added that "Marianne has been able to flesh out our characters, and create a gritty, personal and unique story of full frontal revenge."

A digital download for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Shank is due this summer.
