By the sounds of this DNF was a marketing strategy for other software and was never meant to be released: http://gamingisstupid.com/2009/05/06...story-revival/
Hmmmmm.
Sorry, but that just does not seem realistic (The Chair Story).
Kicked his a$$ and threatened him with a pointy stick ?
Not buying it.

It doesn't get the name "Guerilla Marketing" for no reason. A fortune was made selling game engines from hyping a non-existant game by the looks of things
Take Two who have the rights to the "game" aren't funding it any further and if you read The Wiki history of the game it is easy to see how it is very plausible. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_Nukem_Forever Broussard seems like Al Capone if you apply Charlie's story with even the least bit of credibility. Not to mention the other developer who had the rights to DNF's going out of business as well.
Well, either way I am pretty disappointed that we will probably never see DNF (which was an instant buy for me).

I'm on the fence about this. On the one hand I'm glad it's finally over. I am so sick and tired of hearing stupid promises and "huge milestones being reached" and nothing to ever show for it. I am truly glad I'll never have to hear about DNF again.
That being said, I love Duke Nukem as a character and the first game is still the most legendary FPS imo. I'm sad we won't see another one from the original team. So for that, I'm sad they're going away.
Insanity saves us all!
Charlie has recanted: http://gamingisstupid.com/2009/05/06...story-revival/
Sigh.
Was looking like fun too.

Well, for those even remotely interested anymore, Jayce Hall has more footage of what once was DNF (and it is also one of the funnier episodes too):

I think it is around the 8 minute mark (or close enough), for those that dont want to watch the whole thing.

Well, just saw this on another forum, and read the whole 'The wild ride (parts 1-3):

Some screenies further down also that I dont remember seeing before (although I probably did at some point).
Just reminds me of how much I was looking forward to playing this game.
Sigh
