    Yeah, add all Intel chips from 160nm to 45nm, THEN sticky it.

    And, do one for the AMD chips also.

    cores crash on me past 80*C, so i dont see what good a 100*C TJmax does

    tj Max is the temp that the cpu will go into thermal protection shutdown to protect itself.

    depending on most core2's, most will slow themselves down between 70-80C to try to cool itself. But this function can be disabled in the bios.

    no. it doesnt get to 80*C stock even if i turn all my fans off
    had to boost voltage to get temps out of it

    i was testing the Asus fanEQ controller thingy, its garbage

    I think ol'norton tested his CPU at stock speeds with the heatsink off in order to properly validate the thermal shut down. I am guessing all bets are off with any kind of an overclock. Also Intel itself admits the E8xxx series sensors are "sketchy" at best.
