The design and look of the film was gorgeous, a bit artsy-fartsy, but very nice. The story was good, a girl gets pulled to another world and embarks on an adventure to save a queen. The story has an underlying message, and the acting is good. At the end of the day, however, the film was just plain weird. I mean, producing a unique work is admirable, but the normal viewing audience can only take so much weirdness before it starts to take away from the elements that they do like. That was my case.....there were things like the cinematography that I thoroughly enjoyed, but the oddness of the film started taking away from it in the end, and I ended up patiently waiting for it to end.
