thanks for the sticky guys!![]()
you can use a fixed resistor between the ranges of 27-33K..28K will give you the correct vcore but with wider range of fluctuation, 33K will give you a slight increase in vcore but less fluctuation.... 30K is the one that falls in-between..Originally Posted by jcniest5

Ice, have you got your mobo back yet? How is it since modded? I modded mine about a month ago. It tends to work at times while not at other times. Sometimes I check on MBM5 and the fluctuation would still be the same way as before the mod. Other times, it tends to not fluctuate as much. So, I'm pretty getting over this mod thing now as I am not sure it works or not anymore. As I posted earlier, I tested a few resistors and found the 12K and 18K to work the best. I ended using the 18K. But who knows now, I could never tell as I said earlier above.![]()

regarding your vdimm mod.. it looks like you soldered on pin # 4 & 7 instead of pin # 4 & 6..maybe something's wrong with my eyes..Originally Posted by shimmishim

Well the mods were working fine, which I confirmed by using MBM5 to test the vdroop mod, and a multimeter to test the vdimm mod. However, there was an issue with the board where my memory modules became really hot to the point that it would error in Memtest86+ even at it's rated speed and timings. Also, the motherboard stopped making the beep sound after the POST, like it normally should. Neither me nor shimmishim could figure out what was causing these anomalies after much troubleshooting. I guess modding your board is a risk you must take, as nothing is guaranteed.Originally Posted by jcniest5

Don't stress, shimmishim. It's not the end of the world.I wish it could have lived happily ever after. You've been exceptionally helpful in trying to solve those problems. I just got a new P4C800-E Deluxe to replace this one. I'll probably keep it around, just in case. You never know what might happen.
