Im done now, comp started acting up, keeps blackscreenin when booting into windows at stock setting, i must have mucked something up, shes been coming back to life so running prime and 3dmark all day to make sure its OK....

It might be worth running "Startup Repair" from you Vista CD.
ran prime 95 4+hrs no problems and 3dmark05 7-8 times and no problems at my OCed settings in my sig, no crashes totally mind boggling what was going on.

not memtest so far, was not a memory type crash, was like a cpu/gpu lock type crash. and now at the same settings its gone...... i ram prime 95 on 4 core with ram blend, i know this dont stress the ram, but i never go above 1.9v on my ram or 800-824mhz on these micron d9's. im certain its not related to ram. i think i know what might have happened.

my very bottom hard drive had to be moved forward to make room for the 8800 and is just sitting on the pivot, i think it tilted and the top touched the bottom of the hard drive PCB above it, and emergency shut down the PC, it was acting funky after i noticed that and i was sure i would have to replace that drive, but nothing has happened after i discharged the system and took a break.
