Thanks for the welcome. Hopefully, I can add a few WU for the team.

the screen says the number of WU are a number/250 (ex. 10/250). Does this mean I have 250 WU to complete . Never worked so hard with my rig .

It's great to have more people interested in the folding project.
Not only is it great for the science, it makes a good stress testing program for your machine.

    Question,

Got the Compaq machine running w/ 2 2.8Xeons right now. I have folding setup to run as a service, but when I run 1 instance of it, TaskMgr tells me it's only utilizing 50% of the CPU.

    Any ideas. . . ? ? ? :?:

Hawk, what is it a DL380? - we saw the same thing at work on a DL380 as far as the cpu utilization, what did you do to fix it?

Actually this box is a 4 way DL580. My second toy is the DL760 8 Way. I love these boxes.

Anyway, this is what was going on, I ran the command line settings and made it a service. Then I ran the FAH with the -config switch to setup the settings. 2 seperate installs in different directories. I must have set the first one to Processor 0 which is wrong. It's starts with Processor 1 and so one for each on in the system.

Then under Task Manager, the PROCESSES screen was only showing FAH using 50%. Checked on the PERFORMANCE graph and 1 CPU was at 100%. Set the other directory to Processor 2 and Viola. 2 instances of FAH under the PROCESS screen in TaskMgr and Both PERFORMANCE CPU's at 100%.

Then I also went back to add more CPU's, so now I have 4 Xeon's in the DL580. Run 1 instance of FAH, and 1 CPU graph is 100%, the rest are way low. Also, under the PROCESSES in TaskMgr, FAH is only 25%. Made 2 more install directories and got them all running.

    I hope ya understand, it's ealry and I need Coffee. . .

    Default Ranked 16 o 18 with 1wu - lol

Finally, finished 1 WU and confirmed that it is posted after a couple of hours (after downloading I was not listed so was a bit worried that I snafu'd).

It is a great test of stability along with Prime95 but at least the folding effort is added to the BE Team score. Can't keep up with Hawk with a 4 processor unit. Holy carp !!! Won't be long before he's at the top.

RAM is only running at 50%. I would like to adjust this from anywhere between 50-100% depending on the situation (I don't want to run at 100% unsupervised until I know temps won't sky-rocket while I'm away).
