Well, things seems to have calmed here. I just got a pair of VX (suffering from cold boot issue on his Ultra-D board) for less than a penny and stuck them in my Ultra-D. Currently, using the 5V jumper and supplying 3.3V to Dram. I'm prime'ing it for 2 days straight now and so far have no issue. I have adequate cooling and will post here later if something bad happen. According to the information tab on NVTuner my ultra-D is version 2. So I guess it includes fix to the UTT killing issues.
I will always remember to put the jumper back to 3.3V if I go back to supplying < 3.2V to my VX. Thanks for posting the reminder
