    The future of bleedinedge.com

    Guys,

Due to the lack of traffic, lack of sponsors, or lets just say the LACK OF EVERYTHING!

I have been contemplating shutting the site down.

If I cannot see any real responses or of any real way to make this website active again, I will be shutting the site down 1 month from the date of this Post.

    Thanks,

    The management

    Looks good.
How would you like to buy these off of me?

They are in excellent shape still, and still rock the house.
I have been trying to get rid of them up here, but the state I live in thinks everything should be had for .50 cents.
I even still have the remote control, lol.
The satelites are very good, although I admit I am not an audiophile.
The bass I had to turn down to 1, or the wife complained it was too loud (and even at 1 she said it was too loud, lol). But, in ournew house it isnt as loud. I think the accoustics were excellent in my old houses computer room (it was a complete square, the new room has a jutted out closet, and inset door, and an inset window, where the other room had flush with the walls window. And our new house has doors that stop 2 inches from the floor, were the other house had real doors that almost scraped the carpet).
I dont know if you could somehow remove all the hardware and everything from the sub to have it just plug into the Yamaha, but I bet you could. And the satelites would just plug in regularly with the black and red wires.

These are serious speakers, not the crappy 'makes gamers happy'. They are better than my old (well, the wifes) pioneer setup was, and those had 3 foot tall mids and tweets in them.

Recent upgrades include a Audio technical AT-LP120 and a SvS SB-2000 (12" sealed Sub 500w rms . looking for a good set of bookshelf surrounds next to complete my 7.1 setup then maybe some new Fronts and replace my old rears with my existing fronts ... this is driven with a Yamaha RX-V1900 140w per channel rms AV receiver . Wire management is a on going thing lol

Well Nutcase, if there ever is another issue like this, I know another website that wants to take in other websites (its funny, we took them in for a while):
    http://www.seriouszone.com/
    https://forums.seriouszone.com/

They are the Serious Sam crew (a few, if not more, of the Croteam dev;s are on there), lots of game Modders, and people who just like to talk about games, are generally around.
There are threads in there about what system should I buy, should I oc, should I watercool, etc etc

Som if the need ever arrives, I think they would be willing to take the site in (I dont think they would let us take them in though).
They are a little bit more of a crass bunch than we are, and sometimes that puts me off the site, but usually it is delt with if it mean spirited.

Just a suggestion, should the need ever arise again.

I must admit that for me it's real life that has stopped my activity. I get so little time to read any forums and post these days.

I wonder how my Quad core smart phone compares to my original BleedinEdge PC?

    Scrap that! Lets find out!

I've loaded up Geekbench 3 on both my old Acer 8930 Laptop and my LG G2 phone.

So my phone carries a 1080p screen and on the face of it can perform at least as well as my 4 year old laptop. Clock speeds are 2.13 GHz for the Laptop vs 2.26 GHz for the phone. Dual core vs Quad core. Laptop score almost doubles per core whereas phone is roughly 2.5 times.

I think the shear amount of power available these days has also had a big effect on people striving for that bit extra: They don't need it!

Having said that - if life wasn't so busy I would still be seeing what my tech could be pushed to!

I'm really glad that the site didn't have to close. I had many good years on these forums. and sorry for the slight digression!

Spending my time and $$$ on FAH lately, but it seems BE Folding@home is dying (actually DIED) so ...

Good to see nutcase, snafu,... still around
