  • Anyone doing DisHonored ???

This game is more like Thief than any other game I've seen since Thief itself.

    A very nice play!

I heard it was very short.
I will be getting it on a sale, for that reason, plus I dont like stealth games.
    But, it looks interesting.

DisHonored is definitely stealth. The closest game to it is Thief.

But then ... you could take a gun and blow away everything in sight as you go through the game ... but the game world recognises that and changes accordingly.

Not short ... took me 60+ hours to sneak through the whole game world ... all levels and find all tons of treasure and loot.

(... and why does the editor not work for me to add the line above?)

          60 hours?
Did you crawl the whole time?!?!?!

I have heard reports of 9-12 hours, when they looked everywhere, and played very very slowly.

I have heard reports of 9-12 hours, when they looked everywhere, and played very very slowly.
Then ask them if they received the Ghost and Clean Hands achievements, visited all shrines and secret areas, crawl through all/many of the mouse holes, swim through all/many of the sewers (after changing into a fish of course), and collected 90+ percent of the coins. I doubt it. Did they do all the different endings? Did they kill everyone? Did they kill no one? Did set off no alarms for the entire game? Etc.?

And Yes ... a player could rush through the game in 6 hours if that is the style of gameplay they choose. DisHonored allows for ALL styles. They won't see all the secret areas that way. My style is see and explore EVERYTHING the game has to offer.

Yeah, I 'try' to find everything in most games, but I usually get too caught up in fights, or get bored of nothing happening, to really explore games levels.
In the old days, before a 'career', I used to explore everything.
Now, I just dont have the time, nor the inclination in most games, to do that.

I am going to get this game though, but not until it is pretty cheap, as its not my 'type' of game (but everyone says it is great, so I have to at least try it, right?).

DisHonored is a good one. The levels get better and better the deeper you go in the game.

... and don't forget to explore a lot.
