I have some time before I have to purchase PC2700 Reg. ECC ram for my dual Opteron system.

I have already contacted Mushkin to see if they would sell me discounted RAM for testing their RAM on my system. This board was only released last week. Curious to see what they will do.

I'm looking for the best RAM that will give me tight timings. Since I have a Tyan board, it is very unlikely that I will be able to oc the procs so the memory timings are very important for the max in performance.

If you know of some other companies that might have tight memory timings PC2700 Reg. ECC, pleast let me know.

Yeah, the Corsair is $135 and the Mushkin is $159. I just can't figure out which one will provide me with tight timings. I'm currently using Corsair PC2100 that needs to be RMA'ed to Corsair due to an incompability problem on another person's computer-the sticks work fine by themselves but don't mixed well with the newer Corsair sticks. Since the person has not provided me with receipts to handle the RMA, I'm simply using the RAM until I can figure out what PC2700 to get. :)
