See if this works for ya Flex :)
Start > Run > Regedit32
Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom
Modify/Create the Value Data Type(s) and Value Name(s) as detailed below:
Data Type: REG_DWORD [Dword Value] // Value Name: AutoRun
Setting for Value Data: [0 = AutoRun Disabled / 1 = AutoRun Enabled]
Exit Registry and Reboot

START> My Computer> Right Click the drive you want to tweak> Properties> Auto Play (tab)> On the pull down, select the file type you want to affect, then click in the "Select an action to perform" and under that choose "Take no action" for each different file type.
This should make it leave you alone.
There is also a Regedit Tweak, and a gpedit.msc tweak for "Turn off auto play". Google them if you want to go that route, I'm sure they're not to hard to find.
**EDIT** DOH! Ryder beat me to it whilst I was composing this message... :bonk:
