I dunno if this is the right thread to show this but I want your advice I'm making a F.E.A.R website for the game when it comes out on june. Tell me what you think of the layout I made so far and be honest please. Also tell me what I can do to improve it and make it better.

IMO looks like you have a nice skeleton hashed out so far...I can't wait for this game. It looks wicked. That damn little girl in the shadows is creepy.

Hm... so what does that mean is the layout real nice like able to be hosted and u think the F.E.A.R website would like me to support them n have my url on there site?

Ya, definately. The reason I said good skeleton is because to me it's just that - an empty "template" if you will (I don't know the web-design lingo for the empty page). Anyway, it looks nice. Personally I think the grayish-silver looking background would look better if it was more on the silvery side with some kind of mild surface reflection type something happening. Kind of make it look more metalic so it has just a little sheen to it. The color schma is good, but I think the background is a little "flat" right now with that grey.

And keep the text and pictures and stuff sharp, clean and simple - what I mean is like this (http://www.halflife2.net/) . See how it looks neat and tidy. That is inviting. Makes me want to stay and look around.
Now here (http://www.bf1942.com/) is a site that is pretty boring. This front page looks like you are already in a not very exciting forum thread...forum thread look has it's place - on the front of a game site is not that place.

This (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/) is also a cool website.
The vivid colors and sharp contrasting texts/fonts against their background are inviting. Probably not a good reference for you for F.E.A.R. because it's more fantasy/fluffy/cartoonie, but still a good reference for overall impression of a good game site.

Well for me I like a site that has graphics like how I tried to do I tried to make my layout to look real great so its eye popping. Well I tried anyway but for example if I hosted the F.E.A.R site wif that layout u seen would u find my site boring and dont lie?

Kev, it's hard for me to say without seeing it filled in with some text and stuff, but so far I think I would stay and look around a bit. Your graphics at the top are not overbearing, they are simple and to the point - and importantly you choose good images - they catch the eye.
Looks like a great start. . . Can't wait to see a finished result.

Thanx for the truth I'm going to work on the text now thinking on what to put on the site now and I'm thinking what I can do to the banne to make it better also.

Well the finish product might take awhile I'm asking a friend of mine to buy a domain name for me like 16 bux a yeah. In return I have to make a layout for him for the upcoming quake 4 game. But when my site is COMPLETLY DONE Bleedingedge will be the first to know about it :).

Kev, it's cool that you are putting so much thought into this, regardless of +/- criticism. I know it will rock when it's done. The thing is you dig the game and want to make a good site and that's what people mean when they say "you gotta have heart". What you feel about it ultimately will come out in the functional/working version of it and will only get better as time goes on after launch. I love you man.
