My review of the new Asus PC-DL Dual Xeon with 1mb Xeon 3.06 CPUs was just posted at www.anandtech.com. It's compared to the top 875/865 boards, Opteron/A64, and nForce2. I think you will find it an interesting look at Canterwood with Dual Xeons.

OMG, I can't believe how much faster the Opteron system is :eyepop:

Edit: Yeah, I can spell, doh!

I want one, uhh... when they're 1/3 the price :-)

That's also where I'm headed, Pointreyes. I have a dual Opteron on the way for review now. I will also be looking at the VIA chipsets since they are running a true 1.6GHz Hypertransport compared to the under-speed 600MHz that is now showing up on nForce3. I STILL don't know if VIA ever got the PCI/AGP lock right though.

Yeah, PCI/AGP lock is one thing Via needs to get back in the game for overclocking enthusiasts - not the Opterons can overclock much yet...
