I keep my PC in tip top shape. I download no fishy software, neither do I visit site that I cant trust. I treat my PC with respect and know everything that goes on it. So why is it that when I run spybot it shows that I have 13 seperate instances of spyware on my PC? How does this stuff just appear on my PC? I dont understand this stuff.

Spybot Search and Destroy

This stuff, dont know...how it gets on my PC. Two firewalls, nothing inappropriate, and I'm being honest, we're all men here, if I visted bigtitties.com I'd have no problem admitting to it.

Well the first 9 are very common, I get them all the time too. They are just advertising sites that get loaded with cookies. They don't seem to cause the pop up storm that some of the %#!#$#@!$% does. They merely give you a pop up or 2 on certain sites. The sextracker part, I see quite often as well on clients computers, but there is nothing in the history on their machines that would indicate "inappropriate" site browsing, so that one remains a mystery for me as well.

Do you use the "immunize" feature, although I think that only puts a block on you typing in certain URL's, but it might help :)

I've learned to make sites ask permission to set cookies and I deny most. I do not get those anymore.

I haven't seen those in quite a while even after visiting certain sites. I think the Immunise feature of S&D really helps.

If anything S&D pops up asking if I still want to block "Avenue Inc." if it is encountered.

Maybe watch those *.pif and *.scr files that appear in emails. I seen a few of these when I was cleaning out my parents machine this weekend. It was funny to see their faces when I showed them what I found

I've found that normal browsing will cause these common tracking cookies if you aren't using Firefox web browser. Don't know if you guys have heard about this , but I'm using this now along with Spybot S&D:
