do any of you mind if i delete the threads that we have official threads for now??? i only want to do this to limit any confusion it might cause to newcomers...and to tidy up a bit

if no one votes...i will take it as no one cares and delete them...i will give it a couple days :D
My vote is outside of what you have above. Why Delete when you can merge the threads? :mischeif: Save all the data. . . Just my 2cents. .

Merge sounds good because:
of the many many fragments of unique knowledge each thread might posses, and for the sake of going to one thread for the difinative BE commentary regarding <given> topic.
Possible problimatic concerns:
There would be some excessive redundancy; it is unavoidable unless they were all put through multiple edits after the merge. That would take some serious time. And then how would safeguarding from this be prevented in the future? Periodic merges? This is a good thought but I wonder what the long-term outcome would be...
Let me see if I fully understand the result of this:
Example: If there were, say 90 threads on "winchester cores" each contining 20 posts, would we then see one single thread with 1800 chronologically sorted posts? And thereafter, would all "winchester core" related threads that come forth also be thrown into that merge, or would we begin once again to see redundancy after "The Great Merge of 2005"...

I woudl say merge the two if it is doable. The one down side is that the "unofficial" do not necessarily contain bench results with a link and so shouldn't be captured in the listing.
Just my $0.02

exactly my point snafu....it will just cause confusion and clutter!!!!! i have a tuff enough time as it is to get people to make sure their name is on the link and that the link is even working!!!! :(
