I have a few favorite joysticks I like to use which use the gameport interface. One of my favorite joysticks is my Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro. But what a pain it is to use these gameport joysticks since one has to reboot the computer for the joystick to be recognized by windows. Not so for my USB joysticks. Just plug in a USB joystick and it is instantly recognized.

Is there a gameport to USB converter that works so I can use the USB interface for my gameport joysticks?

A bit pricy though...also, not to offend...but I searched "Gameport to USB" in Google, and that was the first page to be found.

Thanks for the link Android Vageta.

I'm hoping to find someone who is actually using a converter and can say whether it works well or not.

I'm kinda in the same boat. I have an older CH flight stick and rudder pedals that are gameport. I really like them but don't use them enough to spend a couple hundred bucks for the newer USB models :( I just leave mine plugged in all the time, or use a cheap usb flight stick I have.

Let us know how it works if you do get an adapter
