Is this what I think it is?

That is what it looks like but when I add up the combined wattage from all the rails I get 1019 watts. They claim it is 550 watts  . 60 amps on the 12v rail is 720 watts alone  . Seems fishy to me

I heard that there was going to be multiple rails comming out, didn't think they hit the market yet.

malinois1:

My guess is that the max sustained load is 550w.
Also, I would guess that the stated amps for the four 12v lines are peak and unsustained. (and maybe not simultaneous either)

My 2 cents.

Peeps, label is pretty clear 4 x 12 volts rails is 420 Watts Max, irrelevant of the fact that on paper it shows 720 watts for the combines 4 rails, the efficiency of this power supply is max 420 watts on the 12 volts rails combined, hence the TRUE combined AMPS is 35 AMPS. Similar holds true for the 3.3 and 5 volts rails, you cannot achieved max amp rating simultaneously on these 2 rails for you will exceed the 200 watts rating.

Also note that this PSU in ATX form factor 2.0 compliant, hence does not have -5 volts rail.

take a look at p c power and cooling new 850w psu with quad 12v rails (17a) 950w peak . always keep in mind that rated and peak watts are controled environment ratings , in other words through some heat in there and you will not reach rated or peak. on any psu !
