So regretfully you've mishandled you computer components? Dropped it on the floor, spilled the beer on the motherboard or drop the 10 pound power supply on the cpu and now it has broken pins and won't work. Makes for an expensive FX 55 to hang on the mirror of your car I guess, not an FX 55 you said it's an Intel? That's OK Intel belong on the mirror of the car ...( wink wink Hawk and Snafu).

Seriously though, I just came across this and it could turn out to be a life saver for some people at a reasonable expense.

Cool. I bet this guy knows a lot about how to do that cap repair I had to do on my GPU a couple weeks ago. Viperjohn too. Actually, if I get in a position to live without the X850XT for a couple weeks I'm going to ship it out to Vj and have him redo my hash job.

Nice lapping instructions. I want to lap my GPU heatsink, and my Thermalright NB-1C. Also (scared) would like to lap the CPU heatspreader.
