The new version of memtest86 has been released and on their front/download page, you will find information as to what it improuves.

What you will NOT find or mentionned however is a last minute bug found with the official 1.55 release.

You will find the fixed release, version 1.55.1 here (http://www.memtest.org/download/1.55.1/)

Does anyone know if reusing a floppy that had an older version of memtest on it is posible.

I have 1.51 on a floppy and I would like to update the same floppy to 1.55.1 if possible.

Heck I will try it and post how it goes.

I think you have to reformat teh floppy before it can be read and used. Woudl be interesting to hear how it goes though.

yeah reformat and reinstall 1.55.1 on it

Nope, just run the install.bat and it will do its magic.
(no need to reformat at all) :thumbs:

Already tested it to.
