I've had the Logitech Z680 speakers for 3 months now. I'm happy to say, I'm still well pleased with the Z680's. I enjoy my classical and jazz CD's very much, with these speakers. If your looking for a great set of 5.1 speakers these are it. MAXIMUMPC magazine gave the Z680's a perfect 10 KICKASS award. If I can help with any questions just fire away! :)

Hey dudes. My friend has the 680's and I have the 560's. Mine are actually louder than his, but his have the center channel and are more vibrant and clear, plus the dolby decoder. Would it be worth it for me to upgrade for Doom 3? I heard Doom 3 will be in 5.1 Dolby and obviously my 4.1 560's can't hack it! Let me know what ya think.

I know this is a little off topic, but what do you guys think I could get for my set of Z560's on ebay or a add in the paper? I just don't know how much to ask for. They come with 4 extra speakers still in the bubble wrap and the subwoofer is almost brand new also (I blew my last one and they sent me a whole new set :)). I was thinking of asking $80? Is that too steep or not enough. Thanks for your input.

Ya get them Z680's yet? Ordering them this week! Recommend any e-tailers? I usually buy from newegg.com. They have em for $190.00 shipped. I don't know if I could find a better deal or not, especially with service as good as newegg's? I can't wait to get them. :-)

Nevermind, I just bought them today from newegg.com for $290.00! I am so pumped to try them out. I really hope I get a newer set so that there is no hiss (apparently they have solved the issue in the more recent builds). Can't wait!

The 560's do not have any KNOWN issues with hissing. My advice is to take advantage of Logitech's awesome customer service. Tell them that you think your speakers are defective (I would consider a hiss to be defective). They will ask you to cut your power cord on your sub unit and send that and your control pod *only* back to Logitech. They will send you a brand new set (sub, control pod, 4 speakers) for free. Shipping included. Gotta love that. :D
