i tried everything but i cant seem to get the OS loaded onto my system

i think I'm doing all the right things as far as setting up the Bios and such

on post i see the raid array showing both maxtor hd's

i boot with xp goes through the install process i (f6) for drivers

this is one part I'm not to sure of (what driver to use) well i tried them all

xp goes to finish the install tells me to hit enter i do
then it tells me there are no HD"S on my system

is there a step by step process that i can get kinda like (RAID for Dummies) lol
any and all help would be appreciated

If you see the RAID in the BIOS and on Bootup, make sure you download IAA 3.5 if you are running the RAID off of the ICH5-R channel. IAA has a make disk utility that will copy the necessary files to a floppy for Windows XP. During the install of XP, when asked for 3rd party vendor drivers, press F6 and you wil be prompted to insert the disk w/ the RAID drivers.

Drop me a PM if you need more guidance.

thx  Hawk
i'm giving that a try now
my mobo has 2 sets of sata plugs 1st set labeled Sata1 & Sata2
2nd set are Sata_Raid1 & Sata_Raid2 this is the set of plugs i'm using

the manual is deceiving in a way makes it sound like it doesn't matter (that raid can be achieved off either set of plugs) through the Bios

what puzzles me some
is the fact that when i run the MaxBlast (Maxtor utilities) software
the darn thing is done in seconds????
ive formatted many drives and it always seemed to take longer than that
these darn new fangled toys lol:-)

Thanks again
