Greetings to every ASUS fans!!! My first post....I`ve been reading this forum for a couple of weeks now and help me decide to get Asus mobo.

Just got this board lately and installed all necessary hardware. Installed P4 2.6C 800FSB, 2 x 512 Kingston HyperX PC3500 and 2 new SATA 120GB WD HDD. First how do I set up for Raid 1? On board Promise Controller is ENABLED. On post I press "F6" then press "S" for to Specify additional disk controllers. After this a message appeared.
"Could not find a floppy drive on your machine to load OEM Drivers from floppy disk."
* Press ESC to cancel loading from OEM Drivers
* Press F3 to quit setup.

I have no floppy installed on the system. And already disabled on the Bios setup.

Thanks in advance.
Rommel

Got it, just bought a floppy drive. Everything works flawlessly on stock settings.

The P4C80-E is a nice board but rather expensive.I just bought one myself. The Kingston HyperX 3500 is bad ram.I would run memtest86 to make sure it doesn't error at its rated speed and vdimm.

Just a quick observation, you would be better off running the RAID on the ICH5-R connectors over the Promise. . . . ;)

As LastRide says> Run some memtest86 tests and se if it can pass. Mine HyperX3500 couldn't run 200Mhz 2-3-3-7 as they are rated.
