Hey Peoples! I just gots my new machine and am looking for some overclocking help.

To start: here is what we have to work with: P4 3.2Ghz, 1GB of OCZ pc4000 GOLD mem, GFX 5900 Ultra, ASUS P4C800 Deluxe mobo, and 2 Western Digital Raptor 10,000 rpm hard drives.

What I've gotten up to so far: 3.6Ghz with 225 Mhz bus stable with 2-2-2-5 timings...

I've tried setting the timings lower on the mem (3-4-4-8) with 2.85V but have not been able to post higher than 235 Mhz bus. I've also tried bumping the proc voltage up to 1.8V with no change in stability or higher overclocks.

Any ideas out there? What is the max that you masters of overclocking would bump the core cpu voltage up to? Anyone already have a 3.2Ghz P4 that would like to post their results and system config? Thanks!

3.6 ghz may be the wall on that processor because it's definitely not the ram for sure...

well.. 99% sure it's not the ram...

run some memtest86 to be sure it's not the memory that's limiting you....

try the 5:4 divider and see if that works... (underclock your ram)

Ok.. I'm pretty new to the OC zone.. can you explain what it means or how to set up 1:1 ratios and 5:4 ratios etc... I know all of the settings but I'm not sure how you figure out these ratios.
