you want quiet? then the zalman is for you.

you want cool temps? the zalman is not for you

you want better OCing then stock? the zalman is not for you

Well, as long as its quiter than stock and the temps are within stable ranges, it maybe right for those looking for a quiet setup. Not every aftermarket heatsink is made to cool overclocked cards...

What a minute - don't start writing an encyclopedia

Thanks for the news bud. Good thing to avoid unless all you want is quiet.

It is a shame too, it is quite the pretty heatsink.

copper or aluminium version ? from reviews copper is 10C cooler than Artic Silencer NV5

i have a VF-700CU on 9800Pro Extreme does nicely same 483-490mhz core but ram speed much stabler at 405 than before

6800U with stock copper heatsinks do a good job already

all copper version
the Zalman is 8*C hotter then a NV 6800U copper reference cooler.

when is thermalright gonna make a vid card cooler?
current offerings are all garbage for 6800U OCers.

 Quick you need to get to a Hospital!!! Something is definitely wrong

You'll probably go for water cooling instead.

I have BFG 6800gt's and there stock coolers aren't very good I was just wondering if you think the Zalman would be better than the stock coolers on 6800gt's (better temps, mine are high and a quieter solution )

yes the Zalman is much better then a stock GT cooler. (but its not better or even as good as a stock copper Ultra cooler)

I'm sure my Ultra cooler is aluminium not copper.

Thanks I was thinking about the NV 5 but I don't think two will fit but I'm pretty sure two of the Zalman's will fit..... :thumb: :wpleased:

To reply to my own post.

Stock 6800 Ultra AGP cooler is aluminium.
Stock 6800 Ultra PCI-E cooler appears to be copper from reports.

So I guess the Zalman may be beneficial to those with AGP 6800U's. I'd try it on mine, but I'm a bit lazy, to put it on, only to move it again to my radeon 9800 once I get watercooling set up for the 6800.

water cool your vid cards and be done with the search for good air coolers :D

thats what i did to my 9700pro, although i didn't get any increase in OC :irk:
