Where/how can I get the music that plays during the setup phase of XP? Maybe I am sick, maybe I am twisted, but I acually like it.

Feel free to also bash my stupidity, but I can't seem to find it on the XP CD.

I just did a restore of XP on an HP machine for a client and it reminded me how much I like the tune???!!?

My sound card doesn't get setup until after Windows is installed, so I never knew it played music....:p

Not that file. It's a big long composition with Gregorian chants. Thanks for looking though!

Read the post Oldfart!! Setup, not Startup! I've never had speakers hooked up while doing an install. Never heard it.

The file is 2.5MB. It's kindof funky. I like it, I wonder if MS gave the artist credit anywhere?

That is cool!
Sounds really good with my Klipsch 4.1s. It reminds me of a cross between the later years of YES and New Age.

LOL!!!

I love that music ... when I installed XP for the first time ever, I was like "hey, that's the music from the virtual flight of North America in Microsoft Encarta World Atlas"
