I have a LiteOn 52x CD-RW/16x DVD combo drive. When burning itll get to 5% done (using nero) then itll stop at 5% for like 30 seconds then from there itll burn just kinda slow...about 3 mins for a 18 song MP3 music CD (about 77MB) at 52x. Is something messed up or was I just expecting too much?

really odd situation you got there man. I'd just make sure you got hte lastest version of nero and make sure DMA is enabled for your burner.

Usually towards the end of a CD or DVD burn it needs to slow down to burn properly. Most (all?) burners slow down towards the centre. This coudl be what you are seeing.

Slow burning 5-6% into it, after that its still kinda slow.

How much memory is in the machine?

Defrag or low diskspace. . . :scratch:
