Just a quick question about the IC7. Can the south bridge just go out and the rest of the system be alright? I think thats what just happened to me, and I dont understand it at all. All the PCI devices can be seen, but they dont work. Just now the hard drives also stoped working correctly, and I cant boot into windows. Any input would be helpful.
~Edit, I just used a dos boot disk to try and go though my hard drives. I was pokin around with that and it seems fdisk can see one of the drives, but I cant access either of them. Whats confusing is that the CDrom can be seen and read. Now I think im gonna go try to flash the BIOS and see what I can come up with.
~Edit 2, I just flashed BIOS and I can get into windows again. The thing is, windows sees all the devices just fine. It just cant USE them. Like my TV card is seen and it says its working, yet when i open the player, nothing. Its the same with the modem, dial in.. it dosnt work. And the G200 i have in there says its out of useable resources, so it dosnt work either. Im starting to lose hope :mad:
