Hi guys,

Need some help with my fsb. I am using an Asus p4c800-e with 1 stick of corsair 3200 c2 and a 2.6c. For some reason prime 95 will only run stable at 240fsb with the 266 (3:2) ratio set. The timings are very relaxed at 2.5 4 4 8. I am trying to determine the highest fsb my board and cpu will go. What could be the causes of this? Can my cpu not hit 240fsb or is there something else I'm missing? Btw. vcore is at 1.575.

you may need a little more vcore as the cpu "may" be maxing out.
Also sometimes its better to clock with the vcore on auto also so give that a try.I would use the 5:4 ratio as at 250fsb you will only be running ddr400.

Ok, This might be strange, but I got 240fsb overnight, the next day I was able to get 245fsb running good with the computer laying flat with ac on for at least 3 hours. The voltage was at 1.6. Then I decided to put the side panel on and 20 min later the tests failed. I repeated this, and it looked like that heat was the problem because I would get consistent 20 min hangups. So I put a smart fan on the nb and it still lasts about 20 min.. What is going on?

What is a safe vcore at 245 if I am already pushing it to 1.6v?

Edit: I have tried Auto, fails immediately. I am going to try a new 2.6c.
