Using A1 (blue channel)

I ran a stick of my RAM for 8 hours 85 passes with zero errors. :)

I ran my other stick and got 20 errors in 11 hours 118 passes. :(

Then using A1 and B1 (the blue channel)

I then put both sticks in at the same time.

Memtest showed 133 errors before the third pass. :eek2:

Is my B1 slot bad? Or are these so called matched sticks not matched and don't work together?

concidering your past threads ~ id suggest RMA'ing the board or have someone else verify the ram is good on their system.

id be happy to test those sticks for you if you wish since im not very far away.

I forgot how many millions of millimeters away you are from me. :D

What's your favorite beer?

I put my one known error free stick of ram in slot B1. So far after 7 passes and 33 minutes no errors.

But I am curious about the other three sticks of 512 Mushkin PC3500 Black 222 Hi Perf Level II ram I have. And I have one more coming from Mushkin tommorrow.

I agree w/ thrugs. . . From all your posts, it seems that you have bad memory slot on your board. . . :(

RAM stick 1 ran over forty passes and over 3 hours of Memtest in slot A! (third time it did this). Moving my one error free RAM stick to slot B1. RAM stick 1 ran 33 passes and a bit over 3 hours of Memtest in slot B1 with zero errors.

Conclusion:

RAM stick 1 = good stick of RAM
P4P800d RAM slot A1 (blue) = good
P4P800d RAM slot B1 (blue) = good

Am I overlooking anything?

but will they work together in pairs in Dual mode error free?

even on my p4p800, 2 of the ram slots DID NOT WORK error free.

PM me if you want me to test the ram for ya

PM sent to you.

My one good stick of Mushkin Black PC3500 RAM will work error free in any of the four slots.

PM replied to.

could simply be a dual channel problem on the board even if the ram is good. either way, we'll find out for sure.
