I just beat it last night........and umm yeah I'm peeved, granted it makes way for HL3 :irk: Was it me or did the chick have a nice arse?(forgot her name as usual  )
All the new games, the ending sucks. Have you played and finished Halo 2. That one gets a big "L" from me. . .

not yet, my roomie hogs the xbox and I'm usually play'n multi with our neighbors. I think one day I'll finish it. I think the part I stopped at wasn't a good one, I don't remember where to go.

both HL2 and Halo2 let me down with the endings. Halo seemed incomplete, and HL2 seemed kinda easy

This is a post where I've been arguing with myself about. HL2 I'd say leans to the side of disapointment without the promise or more and yes Alyx had a very nice arse :D. The Halo2 Ending I have to say I thought was pretty good. It builds up a lot right before the end and then stops mid sentence, making you want more. They just expand the universe and end it. It's pretty much just a teaser for future games and that is something that I really like.

HL2 was a very good game no doubt. To be honest though, I was glad it ended. I felt I had had enough by that time and I was ready for a different flavor.

To be quite frank with you, HL2 was almost as big a dissapointment as Doom 3...the ending to it sucked and there was soooo much cut from HL2 its sick. Ive seen alot of the stolen leak and let me tell you, the original HL2 wouldve been ALOT better. There are like 20 characters, both good and bad, that were takin out...complete levels aswell, along with a whole slew of weapons. I beat HL2 and havent played it since, CSS on the other hand gets alot of play time :yup:

Would be cool if that stolen material could be interwoven to the official release and that whole thing released somehow as a SE. I know it sounds crazy stupid but still...hey it takes a lot of guts to post some of these thoughts  .

Big IMO here:
I think the overwhelmingly popular opinion on that piracy is that it sucks, people who do it suck - but hey, there are some in every crowd and it just can't be avoided entirely. Having said that, for the love of the game and games in general it would be cool to get that stolen stuff polished up and issued on the legit.
Walter Becker and Donald Fagen don't condone bootlegging, but admit that some of their best live recordings are bootlegs. I guess it's all a matter of perspective. I feel that their perspective therein says a lot about them seeing the big picture, and their respect for their fan's appreciation of their talent, be it through legal or illegal means. My point being that Valve could still, with what is positively their rightful dignity, re-issue such a package. It would say a lot about them, and their fan base.
I hear you though Hawk...I just think it sucks that a very small group of selfish individuals ruined another small groups extremely hard work, as well as offend a huge fan base that were awaiting the phenomenal achievement that the original game would have been. And because of that selfish manuever, some great work should be silenced forever.

Yeah, I heard that after the leak, they completely remade HL2, after playing HL2, I wish they hadnt remade it...
