PC Mark 2002:
CPU - 7017
Mem - 8431
HDD - 840

3dMark03 - 6185
3dMark01 - 17114

UT2003 1024x768:
Flyby - 220
Botmatch - 76

Running the vid card at 418/362
2.86ghz @ 150mhz (IIRC) FSB

Not record breaking, but not bad... I'm pretty happy.

Thanks to all, especially Thugs, for all the useful knowledge...

Nice results. . . Let Thugs guide you on the IC7. . . . .

He is the Uber IC7 Tweaker. . . . . :D

OK, tweaked it up a little... up to 3.1ghz @ 172mhz FSB, had to relax the timings a little though, to CAS 2.5. :( Oh well, that's why it's Value RAM.

Set the GAT to turbo, and NBS to 667. Wouldn't boot at Street racer.

Other than that, all I do is adjust the sliders on the vid card for performance, and application preference.. That's it. I don't disable the desktop, shut off the toolbars, etc.

Anyhoo..

3DMark 2001 - 18577

UT2003 flyby: 241 Botmatch: 86

PC Mark 2002:

MEM-9407
HDD-826

100% Prime95, Sandra, and memtest86 tested and approved.

That PCMark HDD score isn't too good, what HDD do you have? Maybe it just needs a defrag and is pretty full of data?

U160 SCSI drives.. it probably doesn't read them right, as they were a fresh install, and nearly empty when I did the bench's.

Probably something with SCSI that doesn't bench right... they are soooo much faster than ANY ata drive I've ever used... I don't need any benchmark to prove that...

IIRC, SCSI drives can do reads and writes at the same time (on different heads), whereas an IDE can only send or receive? It was something like that that makes a SCSI drive much faster under real world usage...

I love 'em.

If they are partitioned drives, running on a pci card, or formatted at NTFS you could take score hits in PCmark2002...HDtach doesn't take as much of a hit, which makes me wonder about the HDD test on pcmark anyways....

They are runing off an adaptec 29160LP controller (PCI), the ID0 drive is split into 2 partitions.. ID1 is one 68GB partition.. all NTFS.

yep, FAT32 is faster.
partitions makes a FAT32 C drive faster too, not slower ;)
