My P4P800 beeps one short in the startup right after the AI boot logo dissapears!
I wonder what it could mean, but its surely not normal, couse when everything is ok all boards must have to boot without any
kind of beeps!
Its not just happened once, but everytime while booting!
I dont know about the self-post (or Bios, whatever) error beep codes, but I guess this "one short" beep must meant some kind of error!
Are your P4P800/C800 doing the same (I guess not), its realy
irritating couse I dont have a clue what is the problem!
Please help!

i havent had a speaker installed for a few years ~ but doesnt a single beep mean "all is normal"?

Yes! A single Beep means a sucessful post! All is normal & OK!
It's perfectly fine when it beeps only once at post. :D

Well the Asus P4C800-E Deluxe beeps 2 times at startup so there goes the 1 beep theory. :na: :na: :na:

Well, "wait for F1 if error" -or what- is enabled in the BIOS anyway, but I heard that some times -with somekind of errors-
It wont stop at the self-post, just gives an error beep code...
Anyone with P4P800:wave:, I want to " hear " it from you if your mobo dose the same at startup!
Than I will open up a bottle of champain!!! (or just a cola-eh)

I have a P4C800-E and it beeps once because I have one USB device connected. I believe the beeps correspond to the number of USB devices you have connected.
Grando even though you have a P4P800 - I think it is the same as the P4C800-E. I suspect you have 1 USB device hooked up.
If you can disconnect it (i.e. it is not a keyboard or mouse), try it and see if you still have the one short beep.

That would make sense I also have 2 USB ports used.

My P4P800 Non-deluxe beeps once every boot and I'm pretty sure that is normal. And if it matters, I have one USB port being used. :D
