LOL... i'm lucky i got them now.. prices of memory in OZ are raising in general.. doesn't help Hynix now that EU has followed US rulings and imposed 35% levy on Hynix in Europe as well!

This Hynix and the Twinmos Twiser PC3700 that are coming soon will be my last purchases of memory so i can compile the benchmark/oc'ing data into my database - makes writing reviews easier :D

Of course I welcome any OCZ beta samples i can get my grubby hands on :)

Damn...how big is your mem stick pile?

it's a big pile :D

Testing first 512mb hynix pc3200 D43 stick rated at 3-3-3-8 at 2.5v and i'm totally surprised with it's performance - i expected it to be good but this is amazing

tRCD needs to be set to 4 at 217-220+mhz

1x 512MB Hynix PC3200 D43 single channel

Epox 4PCA3+

it's memtest86'ing test #5 error free

@233mhz 2.5-4-3-7 at 2.6v bios (2.55v real idle) :eek:
@250mhz 2.5-4-3-7 at 2.6v bios (2.55v real idle) :eek: x 2
@260mhz 2.5-4-3-7 at 2.7v bios (2.67-2.68v real idel) :eek: x 3
@265mhz 2.5-4-4-7 at 2.7v bios :eek2:
@270mhz 2.5-4-4-7 at 2.8v bios ( at 2.7v bios had 2 errors 1st Pass of test #5 so upped vdimm by 0.1v )
@275mhz 2.5-4-4-7 at 2.8v :eyepop:
@280mhz 2.5-4-4-7 at 3.0v (at 2.8v had 20 errors in 1st pass of test #5 and at 2.9v had 8 errors after 47th pass)

more testing soon, have to test these Hynix before OCZ PC4000, because the retailer has a 7 day from dispatch day policy for exchange/refunds :rolleyes:

well guess I couldn't expect as much from PC3200 while in dual channel..

For first 2 sticks tested:

1. in dual channel max fsb drop from 275mhz to 265-270mhz and i needed 0.1-0.18v more vdimm

2. I can't run Intel Fast enabled like i can with my 2x 256MB ADATA PC4000 while in dual channel @275mhz at 3.2v

3. probably using 512MB sticks reduced oc'ing head room compared to 256MB ADATA PC4000

4. in single channel 1x 512MB Hynix PC3200 like 1x 512MB OCZ PC4000 Gold both @280mhz at 3.3v rebooted themselves in memtest86 around test #4/5 while 1x 256MB ADATA @281mhz manages to run memtest as well as run a few benchies in windows at 3.3v

2x 512MB Hynix PC3200 D43 chips @270mhz 2.5-4-4-8 at 3.3v (real 3.22-3.24v idle)
