The swap went fine, after installing the .vxd file recommended by Thugs and using the enum trick to force Win98 to re-recognize all hardware. The AGP slot is not operating in AGP mode. however, as confirmed by SiSoft Sandra and by WCPUID. I've installed the latest chipset drivers, conformed successful install in the registry, reinstalled all hardware a second time using enum trick, and still no AGP function.

Device manager shows a yellow question mark next to PCI system management bus. When asked for a driver for this device during install, I pointed to Windows\Inf, where chipset drivers are installed, but got error msg saying it couldn't be located there. Nor in Windows\system or system32.

I'm assuming I have no AGP functionm and the video card (Geforce4 ti4600) is functioning in "PCI mode" (per the driver display info tab) because the PCI system management bus shows no driver installed. So where do I get this driver?

Or if anyone has any other ideas on how to enable AGP function ...

Any help would be appreciated.
