Good Stuff PJ :thumb:
So if you’re building a quite system, then it’s worth a thought
Also, do you think performance would have been better if it was mounted with out having to bend the fins?

Bending the fins had no affect on the performance. Bottom line: This thing left me very disappointed.

Appreciate the kind comments guys.
i blame it on the AlCu version, you need to test the good version for us.

The difference should be minimal at best. It was the same with the 7000's. The Cu version was only about 1-2*C better than the AlCu

i certainly hope this isn't the case, i just purchased a 7000B CU to cool my 3500+ i am installing tomorrow.
the 7000AlCu i had to cool my 3.06 worked really good actually, never saw above 45C at full load with 2 F@H clients.

Those of us that live on the "Bleedinedge" will certainly want to look elsewhere for our cooling solution, as this unit will just not cut it
