<<<The compression levels have been abandoned and replaced by percentage accurate resizing for all assets and an auto-mode where those ratios are automatically filled in for you as to make optimal use of the space on your DVD±R/W disc, the analysis function has been improved and there's a new deep analysis mode which significantly improves video quality and guarantees that the target size is kept, only one encoding pass is required, RCE region protection removal has been added, P-UOP removal has been added along with a shutdown after completion option and there are a lot of minor fixes and improvements. >>>
(as reported by doom9.net)
A lot of ppl will be happy with the compression fix and the fact we don't have to get stuck taking 5-10% drops when we may need like 6 or 11%. The extra few % can make a difference especially if you are at +20% level already with most transcoders.
Looks good...I will download it and review it a bit...

Thx, I'll go check it out once my NEC ND-1300a arrives (hopefully next week).
Pretty kewl. . . . I'll drop this over to the video guys I deal with and see what they think. . . . ;)

It works great although I have to take a pretty high compression level for my main movie if I want the extra's included too. Still good enough quality though.
I like it! ;)

Yep, it's great but has some bugs in it. I'm trying to backup the 2nd discs from the Lord of the Rings extended edition. Whatever I do, change compression ratios or anything else, I cannot back it up because it is too bug.
I guess that is normal for a beta release, just hope it is fixed in the final version because this is one great application! ;)

I meant "it is too big" instead of "it is too bug" LOL ... Might be a bug though! :D

CloneDVD seems to do a much better job. I had zero problems with this program. It created a perfect copy of that CD!! ;)

BTW, my barton@2.31ghz was faster than the P42.4B@3ghz at converting the vid! I presume that's because the proggie is SSE, MMX optomized but doesn't appear to have SSE2 optimizations. Still, that's the first ever vid encoding test I've done where a AMD out performed my P4 *even once I got it 100% stable* and with almost a 700mhz disadvantage. It took approx. 5hrs 11min with the P4 and 4hrs 36min with the Barton. *EDIT: The times reflect the start to finish time once CCE began converting the project*
The other X-factor could have been the fact that the Barton has an 8mb cache Hitachi and the P4 was using a 2mb cache Maxtor.
