Came accros this little application the other day while browsing a forum and tried it out and it has decreased my boot up time considerably.

just unzip the file run and choose trace and then optimise

works well on xp

grab it from here as the be file size restriction wont allow it to be uploaded (http://forums.overclockers.co.nz/showthread.php?threadid=17757&highlight=bootvis)

You mean the bootvis-tool (http://forums.overclockers.co.nz/attachment.php?postid=212322)? Isn't this the same as bootvis?

EDIT: I run bootvis and found my log in times were 35 seconds: 15 seconds taken up by NAV autoprotect and 5 seconds for signing in. So boot time is essentially 15 seconds. Not bad for raided drives and a back-up drive  .

I wasn't aware of bootvis-tool until last week  but was rather impressed with the faster boot up and shut down times i got with it
