Very interesting. . . . AMD chip now look like a P4. . :na: But look at the memory bandwidth. . . 33% more. .
I'd like to check it out. . . .

Considering it's only@2.25ghz that's impressive performance!

Then convince your shop to ship the hardware to me to test. :D I don't have any problem with testing this hardware for your Intel shop; after all, I understand how hard it is to even say the name 'AMD' in an Intel shop. :p :)

Nice... very nice. Wish they sould have explained how overclocking works though... is it just limited by the speed the memory can run at?
Well, finally someone was able to overclock one of these things - it AMD can actually start producing at that clock rate this year, then they'll be back in the running (depending on price).
Holy smokes that rig rules in UT2K3!!! :eek2:

Actually, I think that if Hawk could get the hardware to me that we could create mirrored backup system for BE. Yeah, that's it. We could provide a parallel server setup-what you think Hawk-sounds good, right? ;) :D

Yeah, get one of those to someone who can use liquid nitrogen to see if it'll break 3 Ghz =)

But your an Administrator and I'm a mod (at ABX) so between the two us we can tap the power. The 'Mikkreyes' network. Muh-hahahaha. :deviltail
I still want this server: http://www.tpc.org/tpch/results/tpch_result_detail.asp?id=103072902
I think that box could service a good majority of the bbs' out there. :p

I hope the 90nm chips hit 3Ghz - the scaling (at least in UT) is real good - 3G would be a monster
