I am not that far yet :( ... I did get a tip from a friend though....when you get the little airboat / scooter thing....there is a point where you think you have to ditch it to continue...don't....the game will let you know when you no longer need it...my friend ditched his...played for another hour or so, then found he absolutley needed the thing to go any further.
Hope I didn't spoil anything.....and maybe your already past that too. :(

Hmmm...well, I did the airboat, then got to Black Mesa East (I think it's caled?) - the way it went led me to believe the boat could just stay there...I'll found out soon enough I guess. Ravenholm is very cool! My favorite of the whole game so far...
Yea, Ravenholm was great. It was like a good book though. I was playing to fast, and it ended to quick. I guess its time to fire it back up and play it again. :)

Ravenholm reminded me a lot of this game I played 4 or 5 years ago called Shadowman. Shadowman was just awesome because it was so dark, moody and gruesome...I like that stuff. Keeps me on the edge of my seat...

I liked the "prison" level the best. Ravenholm didn't impress me that much... I dig the lighting effects and good textures in buildings.
Hmm, I can't think of a level I liked the best. Game went by too fast. . . .

Just finished. Woke up at 1:30AM and couldn't sleep, so I finished it off. A lot of good things about this game, but mostly I liked the realistic physics. The way everything behaved in relation to natural laws and to each other was awesome. The grvity gun at the end was the best. There's nothing like hurling your enemies around violently and then watching the rag doll...
Just finished.

For some reason I get a kick out of picking up bodies and using them as a shield and watching them jiggle as bullets hit them. :D

You're not the only one.

You mean the train on the high bridge? When you're in the dune-buggy?

yeah, and I would come haul'n tail down the track trying to cut over to the right just in time to hit the gap and I never made it. I tried hoof'n it shoot'n it even tried two wheel'n it, no matter where I started I ended up a grease spot on the ground.

SPOILER WARNING:
I think I went just far enough down the track to trigger the code to send the train screaming toward me, just as I knew the train was on it's way I hightailed it BACK (retreating) to safety. After the train was gone by, I hauled arse down there agin and made it safely this time...I'm pretty sure that's how I remember doing it.. :yup:

I think I parked the buggy in that space first, then walked down to trigger the train, then just stepped to the side near the fence and let the train go by.

Sounds similar to what I tried once but I always got a black screen and reloaded when the train passed a certain point i.e. same as falling off a bridge or die'n so I said the heck with it and typed the forbidden words noclip and was on my merry way.

you can either do that or just nitro blast down the tracks and turn left at the end of the train on your left side.
